What can India Inc do to attract Talent ?

I was invited by Linkedin Editorial team to share my thoughts on Talent Attraction .

Here are my quick thoughts

India Inc can focus on the following to attract Talent -

1. Focus on Employee Experience which influences Customer Experience

2. Invest in People Managers - Managers who act as Coach are able to deliver high team performance

3. Leverage Employee Testimonials - Encourage current employees to share their experiences working for the company on platforms like LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and social media. Authentic testimonials can significantly influence potential candidates. Thats when Employee Advocacy comes to life.

4. Setup Employee Referral Program - Great Employees refer Great candidates and bring Top talent to the organization

5. Prioritize Diversity and Inclusion: Highlight your company's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in your employer branding efforts. Showcase diverse voices and experiences within the organization.

6. Partner with Educational Institutions: Collaborate with universities, colleges, and vocational schools to establish internship programs, sponsor student projects, or guest lectures. This can help attract young talent.

7. Invest in Employees through skilling, reskilling, upskilling

8. Talent Mobility Programs

9. Focus on Employee Wellbeing

Exclusive Invite for World Economic Forum by KPMG

This made my day. I have been following World Economic Forum , Davos , Switzerland since last few years without fail.

This year I got an exclusive invite by KPMG to participate online. Wow.
Hopefully, I will attend WEF at Davos Switzerland in person someday !

Dear Ruchi,

We are contacting you on behalf of KPMG International to see if you would be interested in joining an online initiative that looks to connect the world to discussions taking place at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, between 23 – 26 January 2018.

For the past six years, KPMG International has supported the event through WEFLIVE, an innovative social media aggregator that provides a simple way to follow Twitter conversations from delegates and trending topics from the forum.

As someone who is a regular and influential commentator on diversity and inclusion - a topic we know will be one covered during the forum - we would like to invite you to become a WEFLIVE participant.

By joining other online influencers as a WEFLIVE participant:
  • Content you share with the hashtag #WEFLIVE could be promoted to KPMG’s over 1 million social media followers worldwide
  • You will gain exclusive access to photos and videos from KPMG’s on-the-ground team in Davos, which you will be able to use and share in your own commentary
  • You will have the ability to create blogs on WEFLIVE. Select WEFLIVE Stories created by influencers will be featured on the WEFLIVE homepage, which received over 230K weekly visits during WEF last year
  • You will be granted access to easy-to-embed customized WEFLIVE Stories or widgets on your website

We will also be able to connect you with diversity experts across KPMG International’s network of member firms if you want a national or global perspective on the discussions.

Finally, as a WEFLIVE participant, KPMG International would be keen to discuss with you how they could continue their relationship with you beyond discussions in Davos as they continue to bring industry and subject matter experts together to share opinions, thoughts and ideas.

If you be interested in more information about becoming a WEFLIVE participant, please do let me know and I would be happy to discuss it further.

Meanwhile, you can follow the conversation on Twitter and tweet about WEF on the hashtag #WEFLIVE.

Kind regards,

Sophie Broom

On behalf of KPMG International
